The Friday Five on a Saturday

[nanila]

1. How often do you attend live theater performances?

Four or five times a year. Humuhumu has a couple of friends who are aspiring actors / theatre nerds, and for my last birthday the bloke got me a membership to the Royal Shakespeare Company.

2. Local community theater or professional theater productions?

See above - it's a mix! And there's a small company in Stratford-Upon-Avon (where the RSC is) called Tread the Boards who like to do Sherlock Holmes and fun / scary Halloween shows.

3. Which do you prefer: dramas or musicals?

I'm not a huge fan of musicals, but I do love a pantomime.

4. Have you ever participated in a theatrical production, whether acting, singing or tech?

Yep, as a kid! I particularly enjoyed being a cat in Cats as a pre-teen.

5. What was the last play or other staged production you attended?

It was Swan Lake (ballet) at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Very beautiful!

Nice!

It's a good thematic question set!

"membership to the Royal Shakespeare Company" - presumably as a viewer, rather than a performer? ('Cos if the latter can be just given away, I think I want one for Christmas! =:oD )

(Relevant icon is actually relevant!)

Ha, definitely as a viewer!
