The Great British Bake Off has begun again. The first episode of the new season aired on Wednesday night. I livetweeted with the other fanpersons on my list. I am having trouble warming to Val, so I hope she does settle down and become less irritating. All of the white men have sort of jumbled themselves up in my head right now, other than the red-headed engineer from Northern Ireland.

Val's comment about her husband expecting tea made me shout at my telly. If he's so hungry, tell him he's welcome to take his arse to the chippy, and bring home some for her too! Ugh!

Agreed on the white men. The redheaded engineer's reaction to the very clean lines of Selasi's mirror cake are part of what cemented him in my memory!
