Humuhumu lost two teeth today. That's four teeth in the space of two weeks. Keiki lost one of his upper incisors a couple of days ago. Our children have very gap-toothed smiles right now.

I started a new cross-stitch.

I updated my slow cooker recipe post with the things I've made in the new year (DW / LJ).

The gerbils continue to be captivating. Photos of Cheeky taking sunflower seeds from my fingers are under the cut.

We had hamsters when I was a child, but not gerbils. As I recall, the hamsters weren't this large.

Yep, they're definitely bigger than hamsters. They're quite long when they stretch out, too!

We've started getting nose boops from them and the accompanying whisker tickles are lovely.

I had hamsters and white mice. Loved the little furry things. Gerbils are supposedly cleaner but they still look adorable.

They are really easy to clean up after. Keiki wants a hamster too but he has to prove he can look after stick insects first.

It is! Both of them have another wobbly tooth.
