Keiki and the Scarlet Ibis (Day 30 of 30)

At long last, the project is complete! This was taken in August, when we visited the Universaeum, the natural history museum in Gothenburg, Sweden. The central part of the building is taken up with a rain forest exhibit that spans five floors and contains myriad wildlife, including the scarlet ibis. It was very gentle with Keiki and allowed him to stroke its bill.

The ibises were very friendly and chilled out birds!

I'm glad it was gentle with keiki, because my first thought on scrolling to the picture was that the bird fancied having his eye out.

It does look a bit sinister, but the ibises were very relaxed around the humans. :)

He loves animals so much. This was his favourite part of the trip.

Keiki couldn't believe his luck. He was so thrilled to be that close to the ibises, let alone able to touch them.
