I think the act most likely to win is:
The act I would most like to see win is:
Most disappointing early exit: Armenia's Srbuk "Walking Out". Why is this not in the final? WHY?
Second most disappointing early exit: Romania's Ester Peony "On a Sunday". See above. In fact, there are several acts from the first semi-final that I would happily have seen ditched in favour of these.
Favourite performance: Iceland's Hatari. Leather corsets! 1990s industrial EBM! Rage-singing! Yes please, this sort of over the top business is the whole reason I got into watching Eurovision. Well, that and the excuse to drink silly cocktails and shout at the television.
Favourite song: Norway's Keiino, "Spirit in the Sky". Apparently it was the most downloaded song on Spotify in the UK after the second semi-final. Two of those downloads were from this household. We are enthralled by the fantastic vocal stylings of Sami rapper Fred-Rene Buljo.
Please share your own witterings with me in the comments!

If I do get around to figuring out VPN for dodging geoblocking, I really want to see Portugal's performance video. It's a strange song, and I don't like the CD version, but the preliminary video grew on me. I'm not surprised that it didn't get through, but if it had I bet it'd have scored high in the jury scores.
I like the sound of Iceland's song and the theory behind their art, but I read the translated lyrics and can't help thinking it'll become a hate group anthem.
Malta, Norway, Cyprus, and Russia are the favorite songs of the young Eurovision listener in the household. I like them too.
Favorite song that didn't get through: Hungary. I want the musicians in our local folk dance group to learn it so we can dance to it.
Spain's is a great song for driving; it makes me feel like I'm on an empty road at high speed even while I'm crawling through downtown traffic.

Iceland unfurling their Palestine flags when their scores were announced might put off the hate groups. :/

I'm going to a show tonight which combines circus and choir, so hopefully that will fill a similar niche in my brain and heart.

itthe heats now. I would like to be watching it, but that requires activation energy, of which I have none. I also suspect that I won't have the energy at the time it is available on local free to air tv streaming. From:
