I said 'the eleventh twelfth', but really, round here, November is the hardest month. The two teens have finished their exams, but Eldest has one to go. Middlest is ramping up to end of year concert. Youngest would be too, except that is the same weekend they are skating on the other side of the country. There are extra skate training sessions. And yesterday was the first over 35°C day I've noticed so far this season.
It is lovely because whenever bad things happen and you are tired and feel like death, people say "well it is November" and it makes you feel companionship in it being grim for everyone and hope that one day it will not feel like that.
And today it is crisp and cold and sunny and I drove through beautiful autumn leaved woodland and if the kinds of days I like best are in November, I can't be too hard on it. Today it is lovely.
My ex once said "why do you want me to talk to you, it is November" and now he is my ex, Novembers have massively improved.
