Day 22/365: Gratuitous Icon Post

I was restraining myself from doing another gaming update for a week or so, but then girlwithribbon had a sketch sale which was advertised on signalboost and I bought one, and LOOK AT IT.

Coincidentally, I caught my first Snorlax in the wild during the Event last weekend. It was not a very strong one, but I didn’t mind. I also caught one of the surfing Pikachu in the farm shop car park. This almost made up for having to sit stationary on the M5 for 45 minutes afterward because of a vehicle fire.

I’ve finally earned enough Abra candies to evolve Alakazam. Once I do, that means I will have completed my Gen 1 collection apart from those I have yet to hatch from an egg (oh, Hitmonchan, where are you) or would have to battle for in a raid. I’m pleased about this.

I’m up to 186 Wailmer candies. My second ever Tangela hatched from a 5 km egg. My Jogger badge went gold (1000 km!). I caught a Lotad and a Zangoose. I am excited to evolve the Lotad.

I also got a Lotad this weekend! They were never around and suddenly there were two, at two different places in the city!

I never get tired of my Snorlax. My Mate Josh gave me a crocheted Snorlax for my most recent birthday. I will have to post a photo on my next Pokégo post.

Yay, congratulations on acquiring Lotad! I like how the evolutions (which I've seen in gyms) seem to get progressively sillier and more adorable, which is not the case with most Pokémon.

This is where I wish trading was a thing - I've had Alakazam and Hitmonchan forever, but I'm still working on Muk and Dragonite. At least I finally have enough candy for Gyarados!

Trading would be great. It took me AGES to acquire Muk. I finally accepted that I was just going to have to walk Grimer a really long way, even though I find it repulsive. I have done it and now I never have to look at either of them again apart from rapidly scrolling past in my Pokédex. Thank goodness.

I do enjoy the names of the Abra evolution line - Abra Kadabra Alakazam - makes me giggle when I look at them.

And congratulations on your gold medal and your Lotad. I've got a Lotad of my own now but I'm currently walking a Shroomish for evolution candy and then I've got a Feebas to walk too...

I'm so happy with the Snorlax picture.

Shroomish! I haven't seen a Shroomish yet. I did catch Feebas by the canal the other day, but it was a very weak one. I want to walk it, though, because Milotic is beautiful.

Congratulations on the medal. I still need more Tyrogues to try and get a Hitmonlee with, and then, apart from region exclusives and the legendary birds, I'll be...close to a full G1.

...I didn't realise the HitmonXXX's evolved from Tyrogue. I am now angry at myself for divest my Pokébox of all but one, which according to the interwebs, will evolve into Hitmontop, which I already have. SIGH.
