(New Circle members: The Unscientific Poll is a semi-regular feature of this journal on Fridays. Topics vary wildly, although food is the most common one.)
Nearly thirteen years of working and/or living in London have given me a certain familiarity with the Victoria, District and Northern lines. I don’t know the Bakerloo and Central lines very well at all, which is why I’m not quite willing to declare Pimlico the most useless station on the entire network.
It is a pretty ridiculous station, though. No one who lives in the area around Pimlico station uses the Underground. They are all in black cabs or Aston Martins or Mercedes on the street level above. The only people who use Pimlico are tourists, to get to/from the Tate Britain. I took the photo below through the open train doors when a northbound Victoria line train drew to a halt at the station during rush hour. See those crowds of people waiting impatiently to board? No? Yeah, that’s because they’re never, ever there. (The appearance of John Boyega in the wall poster is purely coincidental, I assure you.)

If Pimlico is not the most useless London Underground station on the entire Tube network, what is?

I used to live on Warwick Square but neverrr used Pimlico, I always just went to Victoria. I feel like Pimlico could magically disappear overnight and no one would notice.

Yes! Yes! This! And all Victoria line users could have Tube journeys that were 30-45 seconds shorter.

Do not change tube lines at Bank. It doesn't mean it. Other than "well you could, I suppose, but it would be much quicker to do it practically anywhere else".

Now that I'm thinking of it, Turnham Green could give Pimlico a run for its money, because most of the time, Piccadilly line trains simply don't stop there.

I have to say I find St James's Park really annoying because by the time you've detangled yourself from the surrounding streets, you'd have got there quicker from Westminster or Victoria. But I suppose TFL HQ do like having a tube station underneath.

What it is utterly useless for is finding Turnham Green, which is much closer to Chiswick Park station.
TG station actually fronts onto Acton Green Common. Its only real connection to Turnham Green is that it's roughly where the right end of the Parliamentarian army would have been during the eponymous Civil War battle.

It's not on the current maps though, so.. ghost station.
But of active stations that do appear on the maps, you're probably right about Turnham Green.

Don't mind me. I'm just bitter and still envious of those who regularly get to use what is probably the only lovely quiet Victoria line station. Mostly because of the years I spent near Highbury & Islington, which is horrific at rush hour.
I still vividly remember the first time I saw someone lose their rag on a rammed platform, seemingly out of nowhere. I got desensitised to once I found out it was an approximately bimonthly occurrence.

I used to use Pimlico a lot as the quickest w way back to Smith Square from anywhere else, given all the tourists clogging up Westminster, Victoria or St James's.
I believe the stations with lowest usage atm are Sudbury Hill and Debden, but I went for Euston Square as a Z1 answer.
