Last question on the college staff survey that I just filled out:
Q: What single thing should the College focus on to be a great place to work?
My answer: Minimising the negative impact of Brexit on our European colleagues.

I'm quite proud of my institution's reaction, to be fair. The leadership issued some very strong pro-European statements immediately after the referendum, and have followed up the words with actions: there is a lot of help available to college EU employees who wish to secure their residency status now.

Hell, Scotland's talking about a second referendum for independence, and that looks as though it'll have a different result this time. Ireland and Wales are debating joining them if they do split, effectively kicking England out of the United Kingdom. Who knows what effects that'll have, aside from making a bloody mess.
Mind you... given Scotland's looking better and better by comparison, at least if they go independent, there will be somewhere to bug out to. Which would be one good thing to come out of this shambles. One way to be free of the damn Tories.

I hope that David Bloody Cameron, who got us into this mess, spends the rest of his life afflicted with at least mild annoyance, since he's caused so much of it. (You know, May He Ever Step On Lego In Bare Feet...)
