The weather this weekend was absolutely stunning. My parents arrived from the US on Saturday and have spent more time sitting in the garden than inside the house.

Humuhumu snapped this with my camera yesterday while she and I were lounging on a rug on the lawn. I think she's developing a good eye.

I am envious of your drink! It looks refreshing. Plus, we can't really have glass glasses in this house, they all fall victim to the dyspraxia sooner or later.

It was refreshing! Ginger beer, fresh-squeezed lime and a bit of crushed mint (from the garden) over ice. I recommend it.

The bloke has a theory that all glasses are temporary loans, not real purchases. You mustn't become attached, because they will get broken.

She gets her serious face on, and there's a lot of babble when she's playing with the camera. She insists on having the strap around her neck (good girl!), and she makes a point of tilting the camera so she can turn on the viewscreen and check the results after she's fired off 4-5 shots.

I was chuffed when I discovered it on my memory card! 99% of what she shoots is rubbish (as opposed to the 90% of what I shoot :P) but she's grasping more about how the camera works.

I like to think so! Most of what she shoots is random/rubbish, but as she start to understand how the camera works, I think she's actually beginning to be particular about where the lens is aimed.
