Infrared Self Portrait

On the Herschel stand at the Royal Society, you can get your photo taken with an infrared (IR) camera and printed out. You can also use ice to cool your skin for a more interesting portrait. Here I am in the IR, with ice-stripes on my eyebrows and nose. My mouth may also have been smeared with ice. Or it could have been the blood of my enemies. MUAHAHAhahem.

I would have, except that my WHITE HOT MAMMOTH GAZONGAS were also in the image and kind of embarrassing everybody. :P

The Hebrides are ALWAYS an appropriate holiday destination. Which island?

Actually, the Hebrides were sunny and (relatively) warm. Enough for me to get a tan, anyway!

Oh yes. Some people came back a second time to get another picture when they thought of something creative to do with the ice!

Skye, Lewis, Harris...and St Kilda. They were all pretty wonderful and the weather was fantastic.
