Music Monday #3: Immigrant Song cover

Trent Reznor, Karen O and Atticus Ross covered Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" for the Hollywood remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It's pretty good, but the Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman nails it with the "Ahhhhhhh" in the chorus.

The indistinct yet evocative visuals in the video are from the film credits.

Oooooh, this is fabulous! I love this song and Karen O, so it's a perfect match.

Thanks for doing these, by the way, because I have to say that the Burial track you linked is the only one of his that I've heard where I actually got it and liked it, outside of this remix. I've always loved his style, but nothing I'd heard earlier worked for me.

Did you see the movie, or just find this song? I'm curious because the movie trailer didn't make it look entirely terrible. Not that I should be paying the silly-money cinemas charge, but they're pleasantly diverting from time to time.

I just found the song. I haven't seen the film. I tried to watch the Swedish version of film but the ultraviolence got to me so I couldn't finish it. The bloke seems to think the Swedish version isn't great so he's probably going to watch the Hollywood one when it comes out on video.
