Stuuupid beaver HURRR


The bloke got me this mug for Christmas. It has superseded my Jolly Roger mug and my dragon mug as my favourite one to drink from in the morning. I love the beaver's dopey cross-eyed expression.

But what's really important today is that I PASSED MY DRIVING THEORY TEST! Yay! 50/50 on the multiple choice portion and 66/75 on the hazard perception portion. Now, I know some people may not think this is a big deal, especially if you think it was/is easy. However, I get pretty bad test anxiety, and that means every exam is a struggle for me, no matter how simple it is. So I shall be celebrating this evening, possibly by drinking whisky and soda out of my stupid beaver mug. KTHX.

Definitely a driving school. I did my driving lessons in the States through a school as well. The thought of having them from a family member or loved one makes me shudder!

This makes me want to do a favorite mug post. Though I might wait for my skin to clear up before I do it. Or maybe not. LJ loves me whether I have acne or not. :)

I am always surprised that my favorite mug is NOT my Wil Wheaton Klingon Convention Trauma mug, but rather a deep cobalt/ultramarine blue mug that I got for like 25 cents at a thrift store. But it is the one that I get upset about if others use it and then leave it dirty. And I get *really* upset if they take it to their bedroom and don't bring it back. Really, really upset.

Also, I really need this new mug available on Wil Wheaton's cafepress store. Rally need it.

Congrats on passing your driver's test. I've heard it's a lot harder in the UK than in the US. Is that true?

No, I'm not sure. I was told that years ago, by a person who was probably ill-informed. Once I discovered it didn't make any difference to the way I perceived him, I didn't care about following it up!

It's true that the driving theory and practical tests are much harder in the UK than in the US. It took me three weeks to get my US licence, and I hadn't done any driving before I started taking the lessons. I doubt that's going to be the case here.

Congrats on your driving theory test! I have the same problem with tests; the first time I took a driving theory test, I failed because I was so nervous and sobbed in the middle of the DMV. But I also have driving anxiety, so really, it was lose/lose for me.

And I love your mug! The beaver's so cute.

Oh my. Much sympathy. I used to get so wound up when I had exams or public speaking to do I would get tumultuous guts for the half hour preceding. I won't go into any more detail except to say that I always made a point of finding out where the toilets were in any new building, and that That Was Not Fun.

Ooh, yes. I have social/public anxiety in general, and I'm extremely familiar with how that goes.
