1SE for December 2025 (and all of 2025)

Somehow I was under the impression that I didn't do much travelling in December. Making this video reminded me that I went to London twice as well as Harwell and then Norfolk for Christmas. I didn't fly, but I certainly spent a lot of time on trains and in the car.

The full year video reminded me that I flew to new places for conferences: Hamburg (Germany), Nicosia (Cyprus) and Larnaka (Cyprus). I visited my parents in the USA. I went to Paris (France), Darmstadt (Germany), and Frascati (Italy) for workshops. We travelled as family by train across Western Europe to go to a conference in Vienna (Austria). We holidayed in Wales and Norfolk. I went to Maui (USA) for a conference. It was an incredibly busy year.

Well, that was a lot of fun! Cute cats, lovely kids, and all that travel.

What tool are you using to speed up airport segments? Do you edit in some other app before adding to 1SE?

I use the Hyperlapse video mode. I hold my phone flat against the window for around 10 minutes during takeoff and landing - and sometimes during the flight if there's a good view! (This is why I always try to get a window seat on planes.)

You did lots of travelling but what I haven't realised before is that you add text to every second, I really liked that as it gave me an idea where you where. Also loved all the kittens :D

Making the little captions is part of the joy of doing the 1SE project, so I'm glad you find they're an enhancement!

I met an unusually high number of cats on my trips this year. There was even a resident venue cat on my trip to Paris in October.

What a year it was for you, even from just those one second snippets all throughout. It gives you much more of a feeling about just how long a year is, and so many things that can happen.

It was pretty frantic. I want to be calmer and more family focussed this year.
