Despite all the Welsh holiday footage, Astro managed to sneak in here quite a lot. Meeting the talkative long-eared owl was one of the highlights. She had many and varied opinions.

Cricket on the beach sounds the most interesting of the lot for stories, but the talkative owl definitely ranks there.

To be honest, I didn't watch much of the cricket. I was busy shell-hunting with one of the younger party members who didn't want to paddleboard with the others or play cricket. She and I had a lovely peaceful time together.

Void has just scarfed his breakfast and is now off to lie under a bush.

I'm trying to think of it more in terms of being a useful surface to play cricket on. Can't imagine that it's very good for either bowling or batting.

Shell-hunting sounds good as well. Anything pretty?
