And that's a wrap! A project I managed to keep up for 365 days? I'll take it. This month features a lot of cats, but also rare appearances by my face and my toes (not at the same time).

Reviewing my year on DW - and to a patchier extent, LJ, because I forget to cross-post manually - I see I managed regular posting for the first six months, semi-regular in the subsequent four months, and shockingly little in November and December. I expect this to be a recurring theme next year, but am resolved at least to start as I mean to continue, and resume regular posting in 2024.

I'm off to a NYE party as the designated driver, a role I find myself happy to fill with increasing frequency. I hope whatever you have planned allows you to welcome the new year in your preferred manner.

I wouldn't worry about not posting too much at the end of the year, I feel everyone is busy during those times and nobody has too much time to read and comment. Besides, you kept your 1second thing going and that also counts :) It's so lovely to look through them all as a reminder what happened during the year.

Yes! I decided to pay for the pro version so I could make an HD version of the full year (to be posted tomorrow). And thanks for the empathy. The times I checked in on my circle / flist I noticed that a lot of people had dropped off posting in the autumn/winter.

Thank you. I'm finally starting to internalise the understanding that this is the sort of job where the near-total absence of constraints on one's responsibilities easily permits overcommitment, and have dialed back on committing accordingly.
