Whitby beach in three duochrome Polaroids

These were taken with my Polaroid Impulse on the last day of 2021. It was 15°C (59°F) on the beach at Whitby at mid-day, which is a bonkers temperature for winter. The children spent a good hour playing in and around the water with only their swimming costumes on, and when I offered to get them hot chocolates at Clara’s cafe afterward, they opted for ice cream instead.

That looks like it was a great trip, if a bit cold for swimming costumes, in my opinion.

Oh it was, unless you were haring around on the sand continuously. The children all went into a hot bath (run in as we walked back to our accommodation by Uncle) as soon as we returned. Luckily we were staying only ~200 metres from the beach.

Ah, being that close certainly did make a difference in his much you can get away with being at the beach. And a nice hot bath afterward must have been nice.

Opting for ices

Typical! We were in Germany, and with snow (only a light dusting, but even so) on the ground I still got a demand from youngest (8) for ice cream. 🙄
