Who would you like to trade lives with for a day and why?

I don’t much fancy living as another human person. I would, however, quite like to spend a day as my cat, sleep for 22 hours, be fussed over when I meowed, and brought my meals on demand.

It could well be - I certainly feel floomped when he comes and sits on me when I'm on the sofa.

Ditto... able to eat when I was hungry, sleep when I was tired, and have no-one expect me to be anything other than what I am.

Indeed. I suspect I'd get bored if it was all the time, but a little holiday-as-a-cat would be brilliant.

Ooh, good point. Badger life in a well-established sett sounds like it would be very comfortable and cosy indeed.

That is a perfectly reasonable desire in life. I, too, would like to be a cat. Not least because cats are permitted to hiss at things they don't like, regardless of Logic.

I don't actually believe in reincarnation but I hold to the idea that if it is true and you get any choice in it, that I want to come back as a treasured pet cat. If I could be Floyd for a day I'd be thrilled.

Same. I joke that I am going to come back as a pampered house cat, with owners that brush me and dole out delicious treats on demand and have a cat wheel for me to entertain myself with.

Right! I can sleep wherever and whenever I want, I make a plaintive noise and someone either fusses me or feeds me, humans find my irritability charming, and I can go where I please (I have an indoor/outdoor cat and am currently living in a lockdown, this is The Dream). Plus, I have a tail!

It would be a brilliant mini-break. So comfortable. So relaxing.
