What could make other people angry about you?
Friend, I'm an educated, outspoken, mixed-race, non-religious, immigrant woman, with children, who works full time in an academic job requiring a high degree of scientific and technical skill. There are people out there who would send me death threats for posting that sentence. There are an even more disturbing number of people who would murder me and turn my skin into a hat if even 25% of that sentence were true, let alone 100%. If I spent all - or indeed, any - of my time worrying about what about my existence could make people angry, I would never get anything done.

Well, you know.........but also being female while highly educated........
Well said! So many people are privileged enough to ask a question like that without even a thought as to what it actually means!

I've come across people so attached to their rose-tinted view of life they'll insist others are lying rather than consider the possibility that life might not be the same bed of privileged roses for everyone.
