Him: What! I did the last three nights.
Me: You were away for 5 consecutive nights before that.
Him: You’re going away next month!
Me: For 11 nights. You had already been away 15 consecutive nights prior to the most recent absence. That still leaves the deficit considerably in my favour.
Him: Not that you’re counting.
Me: Always counting. ALWAYS. -.-

15 consecutive nights? That is so long! My wife and I both travel for work, but never for more than a week at a time. Single-parenting is exhausting, and I can't imagine doing it for two weeks straight. I don't know how true single parents do it.

That's the first time he's been away for that long continuously. Agreed it's exhausting; very hard to do if you don't have a supportive community and/or family around. We have, at long last, finally got the former, even though we don't have any local family. That helped a lot when he was away, and they've been activated again for support while I'm away, which will hopefully ease some of the stress on him.
