Telstar was given some catnip toy fish for Christmas. Here, you can see how terribly excited he is about this gift.
Jan 1: What is one thing you’d like to accomplish in 2020?
Pay off my credit card debt. (I’ve had this goal for about five years now. Sigh.)
Jan 2: What would be the first sentence of your autobiography?
It took almost twenty years of keeping an online diary for me to realise what a tremendously valuable resource it was.
Jan 3: For every day of 2020, you will be required to wear a t-shirt with the same one word on it. What word will you choose?
“Look!”
Jan 4: What one thing are you looking forward to in 2020?
Travelling. Trips already planned: Wales, Iceland, USA, France.
Jan 5: What’s your favorite way to spend a Sunday morning?
Waking up a bit later than usual, making breakfast (including a second round of coffee). Going back to bed for a bit. Then playing games with my kids, in our pyjamas.
Jan 6: Tell about an “Aha!” moment you’ve had.
I tend to mistrust these. I find a slow settling-in of a realisation to be a more convincing indicator of a genuine shift in perception.
Jan 7: In the U.S., each state has a “state flower.” If you’re in the U.S., what is your state flower?
If you live elsewhere, does your region or country have flower that represents it? (Post a picture?)
I guess in England it would be a rose, but I’m not much of an English rose. The hibiscus is a better representation of me and my origins.

I feel you on the credit card thing. Sigh.
I love that Scotland's is technically a thistle. Here, have a stabby weed :P

It does seem wonderfully Scottish. Tenacious and pokey. But with a surprisingly pretty and delicate colour when in bloom!

I cannot remember where I found it. I'll post the whole thing under access lock behind a cut so it can be copied.
