ethlerblgbehjgblejrhgbth The pic didn't load at first! I saw the header and then Keiki and HAD THE FEAR!

A swan bit a 2 year old Sam to steal her ice cream cone. .I feared Keiki was another wounded warrior. I am glad he is ok and....at a safe distances lol

Swans are so deadly! But they carry their babies on their backs! It is a terrible dilemma.

Cautious is the right attitude when it comes to swans.

Caution is always a good thing with swans. They are lovely creatures, though.

If they are anything like our swans they can be pretty bolshie!

I always expected white swans to be such gentle creatures as they look so pretty and regal gliding along the water. We only had black swans in Australia, so I was entranced when I first saw white swans. I've since learned that they aren't to be messed with and are equally as bossy as their antipodean cousins :-)

Swans should always be respected at a polite distance. Because they hurt when they want you to get hurt.
