Seasonal Giving, the Lupercalia edition

As you may have gathered from yesterday's post, I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day. However, as a regular donor to the Abortion Support Network, who help women to access safe, legal abortion from Ireland and Northern Ireland, I couldn't ignore their appeal to help establish branches in Malta and Gibraltar, where abortion is (functionally) totally illegal. Wonderful, thank you! Gift Aid is a thing you can only do if you're a UK taxpayer. It allows a charity to claim additional money (at no cost to the donor) for a donation.

I believe the only requirement is to be registered as a charity with the Charity Commission.

I give to organizations in the US where it's technically legal (as of now) but often seems to be teetering on the brink, particularly in certain states like Louisiana.

I understand. I used to give to Planned Parenthood regularly when I was in the States.
