The excavated Roman Baths in the English town of Bath showcase a fraction of its former magnificence, but still manage to be quite impressive.
There are people in period costume roaming around during visitor hours. Humuhumu didn't meet this one, but she did meet a chap called Peregrinus, who was a Gaul.
Some fragments of the temple pediment, and a projection showing how they might have been colourfully painted.
Not sure what he's so displeased about.
Fragments of curses/pleas to the goddess, inscribed on scraps of lead, to punish wrongdoers. From left to right, these are for the following crimes: theft of a cape, theft of Vilbia (probably a slave), theft of a cloak and bathing tunic.
A glimpse into the bowels of the baths, where the really hot water bubbles up.
Humuhumu was fascinated by this stone, which was used to sacrifice animals so that oracles could read their entrails. The children's audio tour provided a rather grisly role play of a divination!

...after not actually waiting for a reply.
Keiki touching the algae. This was the highlight of the trip for him.

Docimedis perdidit manicilia dua qui illas involavit ut mentes suas perdat et oculos suos in fano ubi destinat.
