This is me declaring an amnesty for myself for missing a day of posting. I have been neck-deep in work all day, still am, and I'm super stressed about something that's suddenly due tomorrow. There is no space in my brain for generating journal content. Sorry. I'll be back tomorrow with an Unscientific Poll.

I don't mind doing difficult thing, or tedious things. What I don't like is being reassured "there's no rush on this" for days on end and then suddenly being told on Wednesday afternoon, "it has to be sent on Friday." Whyyyy would you do that??

Some people work like that. I may be one of them. OTOH we should appreciate other people don't appreciate having deadlines breathing down their necks!
