Sharing an ice cream
Humuhumu and Keiki eating their ice creams in front of Karlskirche.

I have discovered that one of the most successful ways to tour inner Vienna with small children is to ride the tram for 2-3 stops, get off when you see a park, find the playground (every park has one), spend half an hour there, hop back on the tram, and repeat. Finish the journey at Karlsplatz, which has one of the biggest playgrounds, and also an ice cream truck. Also, if you have a gregarious three-year-old, you will be endlessly entertained by the narration of the view from the tram. "Crane! Green car! Yellow bus! Pigeons! The tram is stopping again, Mummy."* I should have recorded it and submitted it to be an option for the ring tram tour.

* "Why are we on the tram, Mummy?"
"Keiki, you spent the last ten minutes begging me to get on the tram."
"Oh!"

That is a great strategy, and sounds very fun. Ice cream for all!

That appears to be a very sound strategy. Especially given that there's a three year-old on the trip.

As someone living with a gregarious three-year-old, I love this advice.
