Glasses mixup

We went to the pub last night to sit by the canal and enjoy some celebratory holiday pizzas. After a couple of lime and sodas, everyone got a bit silly and our (eye, not drinks) glasses got mixed up.

It was an enjoyable afternoon. It's so much fun now to be able to go out for a meal and have proper conversations with them.

I've never been particularly enthusiastic about babies, but intelligent small children do look like fun. (I mean, hard work as well, obviously!)

We did! We have also agreed that when you get mixed nuts, there are never enough cashews. (We all love cashews. There has to be carefully monitored sharing.)

Pseudonyms! Although Humuhumu (short for "humuhumunukunukuapua'a", which is the Hawai'ian state fish), does have a Hawai'ian first name. Keiki's real name is more standard Anglo. :)

I'm glad to hear it.

Although I wore glasses very early, my mother thought they were hideous, and made sure I knew that. She insisted I remove them for all family photos.

So seeing kids playing with glasses warms my soul.
