Thank you! Agreed. I've been chasing a particular holly blue around our garden for the last week. It refuses to settle. Yesterday, I was over at a friend's house and one was sitting quite happily in the middle of the grass. And of course, I didn't have my camera with me. ARGH
Thank you. I want to take more, but the ones in my back garden are refusing to cooperate right now (holly blue, orange tip, cabbage white: I WILL capture you).
We visited a butterfly habitat thing in Key West once, and there were a number of striking deep blue butterflies (that were plain brown with wings folded). I have literally dozens of "there's a butterfly in this picture?" pictures and one that shows the blue top surface of wings unfurled.
