Clapshot is a mashed mix of tatties and turnip (Swede).

Heresy! Heresy! Who puts carrots in it? Also, I dispute that it's "mostly" made with corned beef (though corned beef stovies is a thing, and not an untasty thing. Unlike putting carrots in it. Weirdoes). It's the classic fate of the end of the roast beef from Sunday.

(I concede there is an obvious class aspect here...)
