4yo has taken to saying "but I like YOU Mummy, I don't LIIIIKE Daddy" when I try to fob him off with his other parent in the name of some quiet time by myself.
OTOH, it's nice to be a favourite parent. OTO, it would be nice to sit down for five minutes and look quietly at a book or a magazine article without having to resort to locking the bathroom door...
Keiki doesn't have that range of verbal expression yet, so he has to resort to screaming. :P
