common_nature, but I want to have a record of them here on my own journal. Hence, here is a series of wildlife photos I've taken through this spring and summer, mostly with my 100 mm macro lens.
22-spot ladybird.
Small tortoiseshell butterfly.
Speckled wood butterfly.
Speckled wood butterfly (side view).
Five-spot burnet moth (day-flying).
Iridescent green flower beetle.
Cactus flower. The cacti in our conservatory have all bloomed this year. We've had some of them for seven years or so and this is the first time they've bloomed.
Horses galloping across the field over the canal from us.
Junco in the bird bath. (Taken at my parents' house in the Pacific Northwest.)
Towhee in the wisteria. (See above; same location.)

I love burnets.
We've been seeing so many butterflies and moths on our recent walks.

The moth looks almost like someone had a competition for an impressive but unlikely colour scheme for moths.
