Granddad & Keiki

Granddad is visiting and helping care for Keiki, since the latter is recovering from a lengthy period of illness. Here they sit at the kitchen table, and Keiki enjoys munching on homemade biscotti, which serve the dual purpose of assuaging hunger and soothing teething gums.

Yes, it's the Paul Hollywood one from his Bread book. It's a bit sweet though so you can cut the amount of sugar and not do the biscotti any harm. ;)

Keiki is much, much better. The week of rest - and relatively unstressed parents thanks to Granddad's help - made a huge difference.

Hope Keiki is on the mend and hope having Granddad's assistance helps ease the burden on you. Also, I just have to say it: Keiki's cheeks looks especially pull-able there.

I love that mug. My dad got it for me years ago when I visited.

Keiki is way better (and his cheeks carry on being super-squooshable). Granddad's assistance meant we didn't have to worry about nursery for most of the week and it made a huge difference. Much gratitude is being felt in this household tonight!
