I remember reading somewhere that when you're pumping but not saving the milk, as in just keeping your supply going, you're not supposed to pump until you can't get any more milk out. So when I'm in London, I only ever pump until the worst of the pressure is relieved. I'm sure that means there's quite a bit more milk left by the time I'm done.
I find pumping milk is very boring, especially if I have to do it when I'm not full to bursting, as it were, because it takes aaaaages to get anything more than an ounce out.
