The housing crisis is a well-documented phenomenon. Everyone knows it's happening, and everyone knows it needs to be addressed on the supply side, but the only solutions on offer are demand-side and are either horrible (Tory right-to-buy scheme) or too tame (limited rent controls). It makes me furious because it's going to have lasting, long-term detrimental effects on the next generation and ensure that they are all less well off by an order of magnitude.
