Hi, you popped up on my network, you seemed interesting, so I had a bit of a browse around your journal and decided I'd really like to subscribe to you.
I don't know if you still want people to fill out this template, but I'll do it just in case. Btw, my journal is partly locked, all the posts about my RL are, but I give access pretty freely.
People in this journal
My husband, my four-year-old daughter and my newborn daughter. I also mention a few friends and other assorted relatives but I try to make clear who is who and give a bit of context every time.
About my job
I am an English teacher in Italian high schools. At the moment I am on maternity leave, this is the reason why I am posting a lot more than usual and going on adding sprees. ;)
Some random facts I am Italian, a translator by training, a language lover, a keen amateur photographer and an avid reader. I've had an online journal since 2005, I've been on DW since the beginning. Couldn't ever get into Tumblr, I'm super glad for the Tumblr refugees influx here on DW.
I've got a great love for the English language (and a thing for British accents) ; my husband once joked that if English was a man he'd be jealous as hell.
Things I like to do reading; watching TV shows (have sort of gone off films as I got older, weird, I know); photography and cooking.
Fandom I am not super active in fandom, have never been a writer, used to make icons back in the paleolithic. I tend to mention whatever I am into, though, because I get excited stupidly easily and would love to have more fannish people on my reading page even if my main focus on my journal is to make meaningful connections with interesting people. My main fandom are, I suppose: the Rivers of London books, Veronica Mars, Firefly, Line of Duty, whatever costume drama I can watch, old school Harry Potter, good quality mystery/cop procedurals (the most recent one is Bron/Brown - The Bridge).
Social media usage: I consider journalling the only social network I couldn't live without. I am on FB but use it little. I like IG because I like taking and sharing pics and looking at the pretty but wouldn't be too sad if it were to disappear. I can't do Twitter (too fast, too much noise) or Tumblr (never could get the hang of it).
I post to DW pretty frequently, read every day and comment as much as I can. As I said, meaningful interaction is my goal.
>Subscriptions, access and commenting: feel free to subscribe, if you ask for access you'll get it.
What I’d like to get from my participation here: I think I covered this already.
