Youth in the River Fountain

The bloke & I went to Birmingham this weekend. Among the many sights we saw was the famous River Fountain in Victoria Square, more famously known as "The Floozy in the Jacuzzi" or simply "The Floozy". These two demure figures perch in the lower part of the fountain.

Birmingham? Sights? Indeed. It has some lovely areas, some quaint areas, and a huge and very good market. The popular (or should that be vulgar?) image of it is stuck in the late 19th century.

It is also, of course, the home of balti. Yum :)

I'm very excited about doing a canal walk, visiting the Back to Backs [hurrah for lifetime NT membership] and exploring everywhere.

We had a curry on Saturday night. It was very, very good. :D
