Can confirm that it is not a crowd-pleasing choice to make, particularly in winter when the windows are closed, the office gets very hot because the radiators are on full blast and the temperature cannot be adjusted manually. Please find a different snack.

Could be worse... could be pickled eggs. I'm fairly sure the build up of phosgene gas could be a problem in an enclosed space.

Beyond that, defer to the desires of those with whom you share the space. It might be fine for some and not others. Choose consideration.

Third option: "It depends", mainly on ventilation etc. and whether it's going to smell. I love eggs as a snack but have to be considerate where and when I eat them.
