Telstar is over ten years old now. Is he slowing down, I hear you ask? Perhaps becoming more sedentary, less kittenish, not quite so lethal?
Well. Today's photo is behind a cut because it contains freshly killed bunny (not gory).

I mean, this is still his idea of a weekday morning pre-breakfast gift, so I reckon he's planning to outlive us all.

The cat I had while growing up was a tiny furry murder machine. In her prime, we would find at least 3 small furry corpses (or parts) outside the back door each morning. Her all-time record was 10, though 3 shrews, two vole heads, and a half-rabbit was definitely up there, along with the no-score magpie draw that left us with one sulking cat and a lawn covered with black and white feathers. In her old age (15+), we would still find at least 1 corpse (or part thereof) as tribute at least 3 times a week (but often more frequently than that).
We never, ever, had any problems with mice, despite living next to a field. We didn't see much of the mice, though, except sometimes claws. She tended to eat those.

I suppose you could butcher it and cook it up for him. [cook, because it might have parasites.]
Lets face it, that's fairly impressive for a cat.

(Ours left us a hind leg once. In the pantry. Because that's obviously the right place for such things.)

Kheldar hasn't bought anything that big indoors since the Great Pigeon Incident and we're not sure if it was he or Shadow or both of them who were responsible for protecting the house during summer of the zombie frog plague. Loki never bought anything live into the house but did manage to get most of a neighbour's Christmas turkey in through the cat flap one year. Which was just about as messy as a live kill.

My friend's cat, catches mice, rats, and birds and brings them *alive* into the house - to give to the *dog*. Because the cat clearly considers the dog an inferior hunter, who needs more practice, LOL.
