Family in front of Bath Abbey

Our trip to Bath was cut short today by the cancellation of a raft of trains on our homeward journey. We managed to escape just in time to miss the brunt of the chaos. Fortunately, we had packed in visits to the Roman Baths and the Abbey (see above), as well as a rather excellent tea at Sally Lunn's Eating House. I even brought my dSLR, so fingers crossed there are some good shots to come.

Oh, we ate at Sally Lunn's too. I had a rather excellent pie there. :)

'Sally Lunn' was the name of a particular edible, a kind of sweet bun, which I suppose must be related to said place.

Those are some very ornate doors there.

That is a thing I don't really get to see much of living in the States - we don't have (or actively attempted to destroy) things that are created and are many hundreds of years old or older.
