Sorry, I can't hang with this "we're all immigrants" stuff. It's far too often used by people who've been in a place long enough feel quite justified in considering themselves the legitimate owners of it, regardless of when they arrived or who they had to displace when they got there. It also glosses over the truly pressing need for services to help established communities and more recent immigrants to integrate. Just because the attitude to immigration used to be either "we're here, now get of the way, die, or both" or "you're here, now adopt our culture and language wholesale to succeed, or live forever in denigration and poverty", doesn't mean we have to continue in that vein.
