A self-driving car is really the only way I can "drive". ADHD + probable autism = so. fucking. easily. overwhelmed by all the information coming in. I would love to be able to take myself to where I need to go without having to rely on public transit or my roommates. I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm glad I have both those things! But having a car of my own would give me a different level of independence. And as the degenerative crap progresses, I'm finding it more and more difficult to get to the nearest bus stop. Eventually, that path will be cut off for me, and I'd really like to have another way to get around instead of having to pay $7.00 for a round-trip ride on the cripple bus or hoping that Jenn can actually get the day off if I have an appointment that I can't get to via the paratransit.
