Good idea with the consolation lure too :)
I briefly had enough candy to evolve my Growlithe only I somehow managed to hit the power up buttom instead. At which point my insomniac brain decided that I was going to go for it and power him up all the way. So I'm still wandering along whispering "Good boy" under my breath every time he finds another candy. Nearly there though.
Nearly every gym I pass has a Snorlax sitting on top of it. I have seen the shadow of one in the wild, once, in all the time I have been playing. I am developing a serious case of Snorlax Envy.
