I used up all my words on work this week, sorry. Here is a happy-making photo.

Ice lollies and paddling pool

Eating ice lollies by the paddling pool. Or in the paddling pool, in Keiki's case!

ETA: I have remembered a pleasant anecdote I wanted to record. On our way back from our trip to the States, Keiki and I had to wait in Heathrow Terminal 5 for about an hour before our bus was due to depart. So we made our way to the Costa coffee to get some breakfast. One section of the seating area was pretty quiet, so I let him out of his high chair to bibble around. He wove in and out of the seats and tables, and we played hide and seek. Just as we were gathering up our things to go to the bus stop, a woman approached me. "My husband and I have been watching you for a bit, and we just wanted to say, you're such a lovely mum." It was such a kind thing to say. Especially to someone who'd just spent 10 hours on a plane ensuring her son caused minimal disturbance to the other passengers. ♥

That is a good story. It's nice when strangers say just the right thing.

Isn't it beautiful how a small act of kindness can transform your whole day?
