I have been outrageously busy at work this week and I don't have the brain to string these together into a proper narrative. My apologies. So: Have a series of happy photos from the past week or so.

We ate our first potato harvest tonight. Yum!

This scene has been repeating daily for about a week, sometimes more than once.

Omg, poor tiny wooden people! I hope they were fully restored to life once the children were awake.

These are such gorgeous photos. So summery!

Glasses make the world go round

Or maybe not. Regardless, there is something unbelievably cute about a small child sporting an enormous pair of spectacles. Possibly I say this because I became a four-eyes while still quite young (5 or 3, depending on which parent you ask), though my frames were never quite so brilliantly blue as are Humuhumu's.

That one could be an art print or a postcard somewhere; it's spectacular, and makes me want to take your train just for the sheer pleasure of the scenery.

Keiki and Mummy is a really cute picture, and I enjoy seeing what the grownups get to with the toys.
