It was, rather. Fortunately I had plenty of paracetamol and an opportunity for a disco nap before going out, which helped immensely.

Hair of the dog, man. Just push through and don't sober up until it's all over. Party like your liver is still sixteen. Then I'd say eat toast and Vegemite and drink Berocca, but I don't know if Marmite measures up to the phenomenal healing power of Vegemite.

Ten years ago I would have tried this and it probably would have worked out all right. This time, though, I was disinclined to continue drinking alcohol after the shandy and spent the evening drinking water and lime and sodas. It was fine. Everyone else was so pished that no one noticed I wasn't. :D
