Well there's me; Beau, my partner in love and children and taxes (that is, we're legally married); my children, Lu/Libra (born 2008) and KK/Gemini (2010); and our cats, Icarus and Alastor.
I do chat about other people from time to time but my family are the mainstays.
About my job
I'm a full-time mama. It is both hella amazing - these tiny human beings who are so full of wonder and joy and glee at experiencing the world around them! - and fuckall boring - these tiny human beings who want to watch the same episode of Rescue Bots instead of walking to the library or the park! - and really, really hard in ways that are often completely unexpected and consternating.
Some random facts
Oh dear. The first video game for which I ever bothered to achieve 100% completion was Super Mario 64!
Things I like to do
Play video games, take pictures of my kids being ridiculously adorable and hilarious, cook, and futz around on the internet way past my bedtime.
Fandom
I like it! Most of it. Mostly fic, sometimes art/comics, looking at crafty things people make and wishing I were half so talented. Oh, specific fandoms? Harry Potter is my forever fandom. I like animated stuff - Disney, Pixar, Studio Ghibli, Dreamworks all make pretty things - and there's a bunch of anime I heart to pieces (Sailor Moon, Madoka, Ouran, Vampire Hunter D, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun to name a handful). Back in live action I'm into the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and Pacific Rim and Transformers. I love video games - big franchises like Mario, Sonic, Link, I'm here for that! and I also have recently developed a thing for this little indie game, Long Live the Queen, that's really compelling.
Social media usage
I'm most active fannishly here on DW, although I've got a tumblr with the same username that's been on the receiving end of most of my Long Live the Queen spam; otherwise I use it mostly for shamelessly using the heart and reblog buttons as a really poor sort of social bookmarking tool.

I don't have notifications on or any real sort of policy. I do read pretty voraciously, even if I don't always comment (I try real hard to stick to the "does this need to be said, by me, right now" theory of commenting). I try to return comments but am kind of horrible at it if the only thing I can think of to say is something trite or useless; I'd rather let you have the last word if that's the case. Access is mostly used to overshare, lol, and I only grant it to people I trust not to be dicks or to, idk, I mean I sometimes post pics of my kids under access so no creeps allowed, you know? Just don't be creepy or faily.
