Geography Pub Quiz for Post

Inspired by last night's waiter, who kept us busy with these all evening, I present you with four questions. Please answer without reference to Google, Wikipedia or other cheat-y mechanisms. (I admit we had to phone a friend to finish the last one but we managed the others on our own!)

Those who answer 3/4 or 4/4 correctly can choose to receive a postcard or a letter from me. Please indicate if you would like to receive post in your response.

1. Name 5 countries that end in the letter "L". One each in Europe, South America, the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
   
2. Name 3 countries whose names don't contain any of the letters in the word "mackerel". Two are African and one is in the South Pacific.
   
3. Name 9 countries that start & end with different vowels. Country names may contain more than one word.
   
4. Name 13 capital cities that start & end with the same letters. Think Africa! But don't forget former British colonies elsewhere.
