Quality Street

Today I bought a box of Quality Street chocolates on my way in to the office because I felt like I needed to share chocolate with my officemates to get through the day. I was delighted to discover that we all have different favourites. I am now convinced that this is a foolproof test of how well a team will get on with one another. Here are their preferences, with code names that actually suit them frighteningly well.

Christopher Robin - Toffee finger
Tigger - Orange Creme
Eeyore - Toffee Deluxe
Owl - Coconut Eclair
Kanga - Strawberry Delight
Me* - The Purple One

* An internet survey tells me I’m Pooh. I don't buy it.

Oooh, Quality Street. I can't imagine Christmas without it. I miss when the purple one had a Brazil nut in it.

I always favoured the caramel swirl or the fudge but would eat anything but the strawberry delight. Fake strawberry flavour? Ack!

According to the survey, I'm Rabbit but if Tigger and Eeyore could have had a child that would be me. :D

I'm not familiar enough with Quality Street to have an opinion, but that survey also thinks I am Pooh.

I'm not sure you're missing much re: Quality Street. It's all right, but not the finest chocolate in existence. It's mostly the entertainingly fierce preferences that people have for them that makes them fun to eat.

Ah, so a bit like Roses*, where there is *always* someone decrying the awfulness of the 'Turkish Delight'.

* I think that is what the selection is called. I associate it with a drivel ad that has lovely lines like 'thank you very much for doing the dishes, thank you very much for being my missus' (which are different scenes in the ad), and I don't actually know whether I'm conflating multiple chocolate box options.

Apparently I'm also Pooh. And I'm also partial to the purple one. Although the pink not strawberry ones and both the foil covered ones are good too. And now I wish I had some.

The pink-not-strawberry is the fudge! It's a good ones. The green foil triangles are hazelnut crunch and the other foil one that looks like a basket is the caramel (mmm).

I got Owl, which was not spelled Wol made me smile, as I always liked him and am very fond of the real-world ones.

No idea about the particular chocolate assortment, but I'd have a hard time choosing between coconut and orange.
