Day 91/365: Easter

We had dippy eggs with soldiers for lunch.

Keiki: "Dipping my bread in dee egg. Dee egg brains. Zombie egg. Zombieeee!"

I would say "No more late night Resident Evil viewings for you, young man" except a) he's never seen a zombie film, b) none of our children's books feature zombies and he can't yet read and c) he's three years old. Where did he learn about zombies?!

Seconded. All the Reception children (ie 4-5 year olds) were playing zombies in the playground last Halloween, even the ones I knew for a fact would never have seen anything beyond CBeebies at home. They pick it up from those whose viewing is less monitored.

Zombies are also, at this point, in some pretty G-rated stuff - Plants vs Zombies games, there's a new one called Zombie Castaway, they show up on cereal boxes and in cereal ads . . . etc.
