Meme of good qualities
I feel the need to spend time thinking positively about my community, and all the lovely people in it.
Please leave a comment if you would like me to tell you something I admire about you.

I consider myself very fortunate as well to have met you! I love how you are passionate about your job (space!) and manage to have enough(?) time for your lovely family as well.
I am looking forward to seeing you again soon in person!

I can think of several things I admire about you (I was intermittently reading your journal for quite a while before officially adding to my reading, she says, slightly guiltily).

I'm honoured that you found me interesting enough to check in on periodically. :)

I admire many things about you, not least that in your work you care so much about the next generation of Scientists!, treating your school visits with care and attention.

Yeah, the tech career has been pretty amazing, given that I never had even a tenure track job. It's been fun, mostly. Remind me next time I'm up at 2am babysitting a sick spacecraft...
Your spacefaring career has been kinda fun to watch from a distance.
And thanks, re: the writing stuff. I should post more fiction tidbits. I'm currently reworking a November Novel I cobbled together, including some stuff I posted years ago for one of those Three Weeks for Dreamwidth things (three years? The sell-by date has expired anyway).

In addition to admiring your career choice, I also admire your eloquence.

I admire the legacy you are in the process of leaving. The scientific contributions and the outreach---inspiring a new generation of scientists. You're living a life that matters.
Plus, you're an actual goddamn rocket scientist.

You also tend to your DW community with wonderfully thoughtful and consistent support. I admire, appreciate and wish to emulate that.

I admire your professionalism; your commitment and flexibility in your work (exemplified in the schools outreach you wrote about previously, and your ability to translate parts of what you do to comprehensible posts on here), especially when juggling childcare and lack of sleep, is something I admire greatly. And I enjoy being able to get glimpses into your work with your posts - so thank you for that.

I admire your honest self examination and appraisal, as well as your ability to express nuanced and complicated views of situations with great clarity.
